The goals of the Nepseidon Adventure are for a crew of three and a chase crew of two to take a 17-foot Whaly center console on the Great Loop from New York City to New York City in 15 days or less. We have applied to the Guinness World Records to make/break the record while fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The name Nepseidon: Poseidon is the Greek God of all waters. Neptune is the Roman equivalent. Our crew is a mix of Greeks and Italians, so we found it fitting that the boat name was a mix of the Greek and Roman God names.
